ONBOARD Process:

 

Handyman & Handywoman Training + Certification

 

To get started, an onboarding fee must be paid upfront. This fee is required regardless of the service or training program you choose.

For instance, if you're enrolling in the Handyman & Handywoman Training and Certification program, you'll need to pay the onboarding fee first, followed by the complete payment for the training program itself. No exceptions will be made.

 

Program Overview:

The training is conducted either via Zoom or, if a representative is available in your state, in person. You’ll coordinate directly with your assigned representative to schedule your sessions. Over a period of three and a half weeks, you'll be trained on the essentials of each trade listed below.

At the end of the training, you’ll take three assessments—one for each major trade—before completing a final certification test. A score below 50% on the test is considered a fail.

 

 You will have two opportunities to pass the test. If unsuccessful after the second attempt, you may choose to retake the training with another representative at a discounted rate. Our goal is to ensure fairness and support for members of our program.

 

 Our mission is to see EVERYONE succeed! We’ll make sure you’re fully prepared to perform confidently in the field. Once certified, you’ll represent The SOSA brand—a brand we hold to the highest standard. As a representative of SOSA, we expect you to carry that same commitment to excellence!

 

Training Includes:

  • Demolition
  • Drywall repairs
  • Interior painting
  • Basic plumbing (non-licensing required tasks)
  • Basic electrical work (non-licensing required tasks, state-specific regulations apply)
  • Tile installation (backsplash, walls, and floors)
  • TV mounting

 Please note: This program focuses exclusively on these skills. Mastering these trades will qualify you as a certified Handyman or Handywoman.

 

 

We offer a flexible payment plan for this program. The total cost is $390, which includes the $300 program fee, a $40 onboarding fee, and a $50 certificate fee. You can get started with a $100 deposit, followed by two weekly payments of $100 each.

Please note that failure to make your weekly payments on time may result in the automatic cancellation of your enrollment. No refunds will be issued, and you will need to re-enroll and pay the program fees again to continue.
